RF-9608A SBR Latex: Formulation Development Starts in the Laboratory
Every construction chemical manufacturer has its own formulation.
Different cement systems, fillers, additives, production equipment, and application requirements can lead to completely different development targets.
That is why laboratory evaluation is such an important step when introducing a new polymer latex.
RF-9608A SBR Latex is developed for cement mortar modification and provides a technical profile suitable for laboratory evaluation.
The product offers good chemical stability, excellent dispersibility, and good compatibility with various cements. It is also designed to increase adhesion to most substrates.
The typical solid content is 48.0 ± 1%, pH is 7.0–9.0, and viscosity is ≤800 mPa·s. Both Tg and MFFT are listed at 6°C.
For an R&D team, these specifications can serve as a starting point.
But the most important step is to see how RF-9608A performs within the customer's actual formulation.
A practical evaluation may consider:
Cement compatibility
Polymer dosage
Water-to-cement ratio
Filler and aggregate system
Additive compatibility
Mixing procedure
Curing conditions
Final application requirements
There is no universal formulation that works for every customer.
The objective is to identify the right balance between raw materials, processing conditions, and target performance.
At Zhejiang Ruico Advanced Materials, we welcome communication with formulation engineers and R&D teams during the evaluation stage.
We can provide technical documentation and samples to support laboratory testing.
If you are currently developing a new cement-based product or looking for an alternative SBR latex, let's start with your formulation requirements.
