RF-9608A SBR Latex for Polymer-Modified Repair Mortar
Repairing damaged concrete and cement-based structures requires materials that can work effectively with existing substrates.
For manufacturers of repair mortar and construction chemical products, formulation design is therefore critical.
A polymer-modified cement system can provide another approach when manufacturers are developing products that require improved adhesion and compatibility with cement-based substrates.
RF-9608A SBR Latex from Zhejiang Ruico Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. is designed for cement mortar modification.
The product is a styrene-butadiene latex copolymer with good chemical stability, excellent dispersibility, and good compatibility with various cements. It is also designed to increase adhesion to most substrates.
These characteristics make RF-9608A suitable for evaluation in different polymer-modified cement formulations.
Its typical solid content is 48.0 ± 1%, with a pH range of 7.0–9.0 and viscosity of ≤800 mPa·s under the specified test conditions. The listed Tg and MFFT are both 6°C.
For repair mortar manufacturers, the interaction between the polymer, cement, aggregates, additives, water, and substrate should be carefully evaluated.
A polymer latex cannot determine the final performance of a formulation by itself.
The final result depends on the complete formulation and manufacturing process.
That is why laboratory testing and application trials are important before commercial production.
At Zhejiang Ruico, we provide product documentation including TDS and MSDS to support customer evaluation.
We also welcome technical communication with manufacturers who are developing cement repair materials, polymer-modified mortar, or other cement-based construction products.
If your current formulation requires an SBR latex with good cement compatibility and adhesion-supporting characteristics, RF-9608A is available for evaluation.
