There's a better way to install residential and commercial lawns -- hydroseeding. This process used by professional turfmen in many areas to install premium lawns is rapidly gaining recognition throughout the country.

Hydroseeding is a process of mixing seed, fertilizer and fiber-mulch with water to be sprayed onto designated lawn areas. The mix is made using correct proportions inside a tank. The process is less than half the cost of sod!

Germination: Mixing seeds, fertilizer and mulch together leads to encapsulation within water-retaining mulch. Since seeds require moisture and warmth to germinate, the process causes "jump start" in the growth cycle.

Chemistry: The fertilizer (and lime or sulphur if needed) placed in solution, quickly adjusts the existing soil chemistry to provide for sturdy grass plant growth.

Grass roots develop in chemically balanced soil, thereby enjoying a stimulus when needed most.

Moisture control: The fiber mulch retains water longer than straw and many other mulches. It acts as a soil stabilizer to slow down water and wind erosion. Reduces surface evaporation from the soil. Provides outstanding germinating medium as it traps moisture around the seeds, as well as wicks moisture to the seed - crucial for grass root formation.

RF-8130A is a biodegradable chemical that is cost-effective and durable. The chemical compound helps retain large amounts of water in the hydroseed mulch and has very hydrating properties. This means that instead of gluing the mulch to the soil, as seen in plant-based tackifiers such as guar and plantago, it actually causes the particles to swell and conglomerate, making them bigger and heavier instead of tacking them down. This creates a better environment for the seeds to take root and grow, whereas guar and plantago both lose their tackiness relatively quickly, leading to erosion. RF-8130A is therefore more durable than its competitors, making it more cost-effective. RF-8130A is also considered better at holding slopes and you will need to use considerably less RF-8130A than guar over a large application due to its hydrating properties..
