Against the global shift away from natural rubber latex, disposable nitrile gloves have become mainstream PPE for healthcare, laboratories, food processing and electronics manufacturing. As the core raw material, carboxylated NBR (XNBR) latex directly determines glove barrier performance, wearing comfort and production stability. Zhejiang Ruico Advanced Materials has long focused on independent R&D of glove-grade NBR latex, aiming to break long-term reliance on imported high-end latex and deliver reliable, cost-effective material solutions for glove manufacturers worldwide.
Natural rubber latex contains inherent plant proteins that trigger Type I hypersensitivity, which has accelerated market substitution by fully synthetic NBR latex. Unlike ordinary non-modified NBR latex, Ruico’s tailor-developed RFA-7632 carboxylated NBR latex adopts precisely controlled emulsion polymerization technology. By adjusting the copolymer ratio of acrylonitrile and butadiene and introducing reactive carboxyl groups on polymer chains, the material achieves an ideal balance of mechanical strength and soft tactile feeling. Higher acrylonitrile segments deliver reliable resistance to dilute acids, alkalis, body fluids and oily contaminants, while butadiene components maintain high elasticity, enabling ultra-thin disposable gloves to retain outstanding tensile strength, puncture resistance and elongation without sacrificing fingertip sensitivity required for clinical operations and precision work.
Production stability stands out as the most prominent advantage of Ruico’s medical-grade NBR latex. Many glove producers are troubled by narrow processing windows: minor fluctuations in temperature, pH or auxiliary agents lead to excessive coagulum, uneven film thickness, pinholes and high reject rates. Ruico strictly controls solid content, viscosity and colloidal stability during latex synthesis. The finished latex features excellent compatibility with conventional vulcanizing systems, colourants and processing additives. It perfectly matches high-speed coagulant dipping lines, reduces frequent tank cleaning caused by accumulated gel, shortens factory trial production cycles and effectively lifts overall yield. Manufacturers can operate on existing production lines without large-scale equipment reconstruction, lowering transformation costs.
From the end-user perspective, Ruico’s protein-free NBR latex fundamentally eliminates natural latex allergy risks. Our technical team further optimizes formulation routes to support accelerator-free development, reducing residual chemical sensitizers and lowering the incidence of contact dermatitis. Finished gloves comply with major international standards including ASTM D6319 and EN 455, satisfying export requirements for medical and hygiene products.
Zhejiang Ruico Advanced Materials maintains complete laboratory testing systems and technical after-sales support. We provide customized formulation guidance according to customers’ target glove specifications, dipping speeds and post-treatment processes. As global demand for safe, hypoallergenic disposable gloves continues to expand, Ruico will persist in material innovation, continuously upgrading NBR latex grades to support glove manufacturers in building differentiated, high-quality product competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market.
