      Oil and gas field development is a complex comprehensive project consisting of exploration, drilling, downhole operations, oil production, gathering and transportation. A large amount of chemicals are required in each link of operation. As an important auxiliary material for geological exploration, drilling aids have been studied and used for many years at home and abroad, and hundreds of related products have been developed. Drilling fluid is also called drilling mud. Its function is to break the core, carry cuttings, lubricate and cool the bit, balance the formation pressure and protect the well wall. Maintaining good mud performance is an important means to increase drilling speed and ensure downhole safety, and treatment agents are the key to ensuring mud optimization. Among the oilfield chemicals, drilling fluid and completion fluid treatment agents account for about half of the entire oilfield chemicals.

 

      Cement additives include:

  1. fluid loss agent

      Materials that can reduce the fluid loss of cement slurry are collectively referred to as cement slurry fluid loss additives. At present, the more commonly used fluid loss additives are polyacrylamides, carboxymethyl cellulose and organic acid composites.

  1. Drag reducer (diluent, dispersant, water reducer, turbulence inducing regulator)

      Turbulent pumping of cement slurry can often achieve satisfactory results. Drag reducers can control the fluidity of cement slurry and cause turbulent flow at low pump displacement. Sulfomethyl tannin, tannin lye, sulfomethyl lignite, etc. have good drag reduction effects in a certain dosage range.

      3. Thickening time regulator

      Due to the different depths of cementing wells, the cement slurry is required to have an appropriate thickening time to meet the needs of safe operations. Thickening time regulators include accelerators and retarders. Coagulant is an additive that can make cement quickly solidify. Commonly used are calcium chloride and sodium chloride. Ammonium chloride, etc.; retarders are additives that can prolong the solidification or thickening time of cement slurry. Commonly used retarders are lignosulfonates and their derivatives, and salts of hydroxycarboxylic acids (such as citric acid and tartaric acid) And its derivatives.

      4. Specific gravity regulator

      According to different formation pressure conditions, cement slurries of different densities are required. Additives that can change the density of cement slurries are called specific gravity regulators, including lightening agents and weighting agents. Lightening agents include bentonite (also called earth moving), hard asphalt, etc.; weighting agents include barite, hematite, sand, salt, etc.
