Best Practices for Packaging, Handling, and Long-Term Storage
High-performance synthetic polymer dispersions require proper storage and handling to maintain batch consistency and reactivity. RUICO 9608A SBR Latex is manufactured under stringent quality controls, but maintaining its technical properties requires adherence to recommended storage protocols.
According to the Technical Data Sheet, 9608A must be stored in tightly sealed original containers in a dry, well-ventilated area. The ideal storage temperature range is strictly between 5℃ and 30℃. Freezing must be avoided, as sub-zero temperatures disrupt emulsion stability and cause irreversible polymer coagulation. Similarly, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and temperatures above 30℃ can accelerate skinning and thermal degradation.
Under proper storage conditions in unopened original packaging, RUICO 9608A maintains a shelf life of 6 months from the production date. Prior to blending or transferring to mixing vessels, the product must be stirred thoroughly to ensure uniform solids distribution. Because polymer dispersions can create slippery surfaces if spilled, facility operators should implement standard containment and spill protocols. Following these guidelines ensures reliable rheology and bonding across large-scale manufacturing runs.
