EVA–PU blends are used in a wide range of applications, including adhesives, coatings, and impregnation systems. Each application imposes different requirements on stability and performance.
Adhesive systems often require higher solids content, increasing particle interaction frequency and destabilization risk. Coating applications may involve dilution, which can shift pH and ionic balance. Impregnation systems demand low viscosity and deep penetration, limiting allowable additive levels.
Because of these differences, compatibility evaluated under one application condition may not translate to another. Formulations should be tested under realistic application parameters, including solids content, shear, and drying conditions.
Designing application-specific EVA–PU systems improves performance consistency and reduces reformulation cycles.
